Overview

LawClient is a Minecraft launcher and companion experience. This policy explains the information LawClient may process when you use the launcher, website, Discord-linked features, partner-server features and support channels.

Information you provide

When you choose to sign in with Microsoft, LawClient uses the Microsoft authentication flow to access the Minecraft account information needed to launch the game. LawClient does not ask you to type your Microsoft password into LawClient. Account tokens and launcher account data are handled by the desktop application for authentication and session use.

If you choose to connect Discord for supported LawUI or cosmetic features, the service may process your Discord account identifier, username, membership status and feature ownership or equipped-cosmetic information needed to provide those features.

Launcher and service data

LawClient may process technical information required to operate its services, such as launcher version, update metadata, Minecraft profile configuration, partner-server information, service health requests and identifiers used by LawUI features. Local profile, settings and skin data may also be stored on your device as part of normal launcher operation.

Website download analytics

When the LawClient Windows installer is delivered from lawclient.online, the service records an anonymous download event containing the delivery time, installer version and installer filename so aggregate download totals and recent delivery history can be shown to the LawClient administrator. This download counter does not store an IP address, LawClient account, Minecraft account, Discord account, browser user-agent or other personal identifier.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate supported accounts, provide launcher and LawUI features, deliver updates and downloads, display partner content, maintain linked Discord features, prevent abuse and troubleshoot service problems.

Third-party services

LawClient can interact with services operated by other companies, including Microsoft/Minecraft, Discord, Modrinth and community servers you choose to join. Those services have their own privacy practices and policies.

Data security and retention

LawClient is designed to keep account credentials and launcher-specific local data limited to what is needed for the product to function. Server-side records used for linked or online features are retained only as needed to operate those features, maintain security or satisfy applicable legal obligations.

Your choices

You can choose whether to connect optional services such as Discord. You can also remove accounts or local launcher data through the available LawClient controls. For privacy questions or requests related to online LawClient services, contact support through the LawClient Support page.

Children

LawClient is not intended to replace the parental controls, age requirements or family settings of Microsoft, Minecraft or Discord. Users should follow the age and account requirements of the services they connect.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when LawClient features or data practices change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
